I once went to a LAN party and there were 8 or 9 guys playing a couple of games on our laptops and desktops. We met at a person's apartment around 5 or 6 in the afternoon and we were still there playing at noon the next day. We got kicked out because the host had to catch a flight out of town.

When I first started play FFXI in 2007... I could spend HOURS and hours playing. never 24 hours, but easily 8-10 hours. I got better over the years LOL realized the addiction and started moderating my play time.

Bathroom breaks and bit of eating allowed, the official record is 15½ hours - of a little shareware F1 management simulator where the free version didn't allow saving, so you'd just have to keep going as long as you wanted to make most of each game.
Next are Detroit (car manufacturing simulator) 14½ hours and Dune 2 with 12 hours.
There's couple non-turn-based games I've played over 3 hours without pause, in actual continuous gaming (aside loading screens or such).
