Free prison phone calls

Massachusetts this week became the fifth state in the nation to make prison and jail calls free. “Ensuring that individuals in state and county prisons can keep in contact with their loved ones is key to enhancing rehabilitation, reducing recidivism, and improving community safety,” Healey said in a written statement. “I’m proud to sign this important legislation and grateful to the Legislature and advocates for their partnership."

Do you think prison and jail calls should be free? (Why/Why Not)

Unless calling to another country, I think we're talking about so small sums it's not worth the bureaucracy to charge for them.

As long as there's a time limit for each call, I have no problem with this.
