My mom would give the kids 2 euro if they helped her 5 or 10 mins in the garden. My dad was like: that's nonsensical! Oh come on. Okay then lol.

Kids shouldn’t be paid for chores the same way parents do not get paid for chores because they are part of the family (even if they didn’t ask to be there). Age appropriate chores are a way for them to participate in family life. That said, if they’re effectively doing a significant amount of work that would otherwise be outsourced, they should be compensated.
