Black National Anthem

Sports fans on social media split the opinion on a performance of 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' at Super Bowl LVIII - with many praising the singing of Andra Day with others objecting to the song being sung at all.

Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly wrote, 'The so-called Black National Anthem does not belong at the Super Bowl. We already have a National Anthem and it includes EVERYONE.'

What's your opinion of the Black National Anthem?

I have limited knowledge on issues, but my impression is that a good compromise might be America the Beautiful?

I don't think most countries use national anthem in sports the way US does. Seems to me that like the flag, national anthem is shoved everywhere in America in a manner that is more typical to... less democratic countries.

Where's the Native American National Anthem?

And, of course, we must have a Japanese American National Anthem.

Don't forget a Puerto Rican American National Anthem.

And so on.

And to say they don't deserve it, or their situation doesn't warrant the SAME treatment is as racist as hell.
