I have absolutely no interest in royalties. Super rich people who do not deserve to be rich. Only thing they have is some bloodline.

Control of what? The exact titles rarely matter, they can pick the more practical person by occasion. I'm all for tradition, that (figurehead) monarchs hold the title till death. Pope is a bit different thing because he actually has some work to do, I think it was a good idea to bring in the option for him to step down, as people are living older.
