Not familiar with the term and the definition seems unclear. But I do rather often have foot cramps, mostly connected to big toe. Typically last 10-20 seconds, happen most often when I've been lying on couch and start moving.

I've found that sticking my leg straight out while laying down and stretching it out as good as I can makes it go away much faster than anything else, I just keep the stretch going till it stops (generally less than a minute).

A long time ago, I started getting foot cramps in the morning that I could barely walk for the first 5 minutes of getting out of bed. It was so painful. After trying many things for several weeks, I figured out that I was allergic to artificial sweeteners. The day I stopped drinking diet pop I was fine the next morning and continued to be fine. I haven't had a foot or leg cramp in 10 years.
