OK, so I did an analytic calculation scoring in various qualities Sega, Nintendo, PS and Xbox consoles from 8-bit to present (excluding handhelds) to decide my favorite.
The very clear #1 is PS2; next were tied PS3 and PS4, just barely ahead of (also tied) Master System, SNes and PS1.

Sega Genesis hands down is the best gaming console IMO. It was my first console and it was the console that introduced the world to the best gaming franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog.
