A Nativity display in an Iowa town was removed from its longtime location at the fire department after city leaders received a letter from an atheist group arguing it is "divisive" to showcase the Christmas scene on public property.
Full article ---------------------------------------------- Simple resolution: put it up on private property. Public property (paid by tax dollars both local and federal and state) should not be used to further any specific agenda. Or here's another fix: open the fire station up to any and ALL religious holiday decorations.

Our fire station - visible from my home - always has a Christmas tree on top.
Nativity scenes aren't much of a thing here, you hardly ever see one in any context.
In general, it would be nice to have some public place - in front of town hall or whatever - open for any religious celebrations/displays.

I don't know why Atheists have to be so filled with hate that they can't tolerate other viewpoints.
