I was in my 30s. There were chickens in the office garden. I thought: How do you know if a chick will be in the egg or not? Oh of course. Mom told me when I was 4. If the rooster was there. Wait what? Ooooooooooh that is what she meant. I just always thought that the chicken was about to lay an egg in the barn and then peekaboo the rooster accidentally walked around the corner and whoopie the egg got a chick in it. I may have had children at the time already too lol.
