Walked out of an interview

What made you walk out of an interview?

The interviewer said "Thank you for your time! We'll be in touch soon!" and shook my hand.

I haven't walked out of an interview, but almost did and it wasn't because of anything about the job. It was the walking distance from the train! This was before Google maps when we could easily figure out how far things were, and I couldn't get into my head how far city blocks were. So I went to an interview that was 1.5 miles away from the train station (at least) and thought, no way would I want to do that when it's 0 degrees in winter!

I've never walked out of an interview, but on two occasions I was offered the position on the spot and told them I would get back to them, but I ended up choosing other opportunities. One, I would be expected to check into the office every day and travel, the other was my commute. I found a job 15 minutes away. I never got back to the interviewers.

I called em that I wouldn't come. Just found a job! But are you not interested in what we have to offer? No.

It was a job that involved cleaning agricultural feed packing equipment. Including working with a high pressure steam cleaner in confined spaces inside tanks and bins, and using acid wash in pipes.

That wasn't what they had said in the ad for general maintenance and janitorial work. Which you would do.... two days a week.

The tour of the plant was fascinating, but the job wasn't anything I'd ever want to do.
