We only had that when my aunt was alive. Must have costed them a fortune. They hired a place for their 40th anniversary or something and invited the whole family. Haven't seen them in ages. I'm Facebook friends with some cousins now.

My husband's family used to have multiple family reunions each year. One was at the beginning of July since his grandma's birthday was on July 4th. It was always a great time and the food was yummy.
