For those of you in the USA, do you purchase fireworks and set them off? Are they legal in your state?
Those of you in other countries, are fireworks legal in your area?

The only fully free time for fireworks at new year between 6pm and 2am. On last weekend of August fire departments can decide regionally to allow similar.
Any other time all private fireworks need to be reported to fire/rescue 5 days ahead and approved by them. If the fireworks are for a public occasion, you need to apply to police two weeks ahead.
