Has anyone ever bought groceries for you?

Have you ever struggled financially to the point a friend or a family member stepped in and bought groceries for you?

No my dad just gave money and he gave it weekly, so I would be able to buy groceries. I didn't even have to ask. It has happened that I had 70 cent left for myself to buy a pot of beans but never that I couldn't feed the kids. I once got a call from my ex that he needed 1 bread. Then you feel really bad. And once my son said: hey you're stingy. Dad has no money. Give him some. Huh? I didn't even know. Gave him some. Oh thanks! I really needed that. I hate asking too.
