All the Christmas decor and lights get turned off sometime after midnight on New Years eve/day. Everything is put away in the next few days except for the main Christmas tree. It stays up and lit until after the Epiphany.

19th of january cause then you can throw em away and they pick em up. I missed em last year, so the old one is still on the balcony.

Just took the balls out and threw it on the balcony, because kid could not stop ruining them and all the water over the floor again. Last year I had one.

I'm never one to wait until Epiphany normally and like to take it down a little bit after the New Year. Then my house looks totally empty.

I put him in again. Poor tree hurt noone, but he gets no water. He leans against the wall. No balls. Only lights. Next year I really don't want one. Those needles. Horrible. Whole house is full of needles. 5th time he fell over and all thewater fell over the floor. Why do they even cut em? Leave em in the wood.

It's too much decorating for it to stay up just a couple of weeks. Not including Thanksgiving (the decorations go up day after) I hosted 4 huge Christmas parties. It's now just down to two, but I still decorate the whole house like it was 4.
So even though it's a lot of decorating, only the Christmas tree stays up for what I consider the extent of the Christmas holiday.
It's a 12-foot-tall Christmas tree. All the decorations were given to me by friends, so I call it the Friendship Christmas Tree.

I have just a little 3 ft. artificial thing. Will probably take it down tomorrow. I have other things like some candles and ceramic decor I'll leave out a bit longer - maybe through winter
