Family Dollar and Dollar Tree

Family Dollar will close 600 locations this year and 370 stores over the next several years as store leases expire. Family Dollar has around 8,000 US stores. Dollar Tree also said it will close 30 stores as leases expire.

There is a Dollar Tree near me, but I've only shopped there for some needed household cleaning supplies. That was some time ago, I'm not sure I know where there is a Family Dollar, but it seems that they are located in not-so-desirable areas. At least that's where I think I have seen one.

Dollar Tree is all over in Canada as well as the U.S.
They're great! I think most of my plates and glasses are from there - good for canned soups, pasta, sauces, utensils, cleaning supplies, etc. Quite a bit cheaper than major chains.

There were 'Family Dollar' stores where i lived in the U.S. Most were very sketch-y and dirty. I wouldn't shop at one again

We have a Dollar General Store in our town. Love it for cards and gift bags. The store is clean and well organized.
